Where are Cavalinho products made?
All our products are designed and handmade in the northern part of Portugal, just about 15 minutes south of the second largest city in Portugal, Porto, in the town of Santa Maria da Feira. To read more about our whole story, check out our Cavalinho History & Design page.
Where does the leather and other materials Cavalinho uses come from?
Cavalinho uses only European fabrics sourced from trusted partners in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. We use custom fabrics as well as natural fabrics, both from by-products of the food industry, and natural renewable resources, this ensures the highest quality for our hand made beauties. We’re committed to using only noble materials, and ethical sourcing practices.

Can I return my gift card?
Unfortunately, no, Gift cards are a non-returnable, non-refundable item.
Is there anything I cannot return after purchase?
Yes, unfortunately there are a few things that are final sale. The following items are non-returnable, non-refundable: Gift cards, perfume, luggage, jewelry, scarves, socks, cufflinks.
Are there any other items which are classified as non-returnable items?
In addition to gift cards, perfume, clothing items, and luggage, you cannot return anything from clearance - clearance is anything that is 25% OFF or greater, of Regular price, and BOGO items (Buy One Get One).
Can I return a product I received as a gift?
Unfortunately, no, however you can exchange the item for something of equal or greater valued. With our wide variety of items and constant incoming new items, there should be something you will fall in love with.
How do I return an item?
Live in Canada or in USA?
To start your return or exchange please contact our North American Head Office at 705-733-8161 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org that we will provide you with instructions on printing your return label.
Live in UK, Mexico or another country?
Do I have to pay shipping to return an item?
Currently, we offer Free Return Shipping for customers in Canada and United States, only. The product must be unworn, unaltered, free of any damage, and in the original conditions as they were purchased (e.g.: original box, original tags, original cards, original shoehorn, etc.).
I want to return a product I bought or received as a gift. Can I just send to the Cavalinho store without contacting them first?
No, packages returned without our consent will be refused and if lost non-refundable. We do not have any control over lost packages. Please contact us beforehand in the email email@example.com.
How and when will my refund be processed?
Once your package has been received, your refund will be processed on the original form of payment within 5 to 10 business days. You will be notified, via email, at the email address listed on your invoice when the refund has taken place. Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and credit this transaction to your account once it has received the refund confirmation from Cavalinho.
Can I exchange a gift I received?
If the item was marked as a gift at time of purchase, or you have a gift receipt, you will be eligible to exchange for an equal value product or greater value product (being the exceeding value paid by the customer) or get a store credit for unused, in original conditions and all tagged merchandise.
Can Cavalinho products purchased at an independent retailer be refunded through Cavalinho store or head office?
No. All products purchased through one of our authorized independent retailers, must be returned to the original store in which they were purchased. We cannot dictate or intervene in the independent retailers exchange or return policies.
Can Cavalinho products purchased through cavalinho.ca be returned to an independent retailer or to a Cavalinho store?
It depends. You may return or exchange to the Cavalinho Canada Official Store in Barrie, regardless of if you purchased in store, online, or our retail partners. At this time, you cannot return it to one of our independent retail partners.
I purchased a Cavalinho in Portugal, can I return or exchange it in Canada or United States, (USA)?
A refund is not possible; however you are welcome to exchange it. Any item which was purchased at an official Cavalinho store worldwide can be exchanged at Cavalinho Canada & USA, at our Barrie store or online will be handled through our head office in Ontario or regional office in New York.
