Returns & Exchanges

Our return policy works for both online and in-store shopping. Buy with confidence and risk free, shopping satisfaction guarantee!

Return & Exchange Deadlines and Fees

Customers have 14 days to return their items or 30 days to exchange.

Customers will pay a flat rate shipping and restocking fee of $15 for returns or exchanges.

Requirements for product returns

  • We offer Easy Returns for customers in Canada and United States.
  • Product not qualify as a non-returnable, non-refundable item.
  • All other items, to complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. 
  • We will refund any unworn or defective merchandise within 14 days of receiving your purchase based on the original method of payment.
  • All merchandise must be unworn, unaltered and free of any damage.
  • Any return requests received after this deadline will automatically be refused.
  • Packages returned without our consent will be refused.
  • Footwear must be returned unworn in the original shoe box, with the shoe bag, shoe horn and original tags.
  • Original tags must remain attached to the products.
  • Refunds are credited to the same form of payment originally used for purchase.

Non-returnable items

Unfortunatly, a few of our products are non-returnable: sunglasses, gift cards, perfume, clothing items, luggage, BOGO sale items, and clearance items (25% off or greater, of regular price). 

Return Shipping Fees

We do not absorb Return Shipping Fees for customers located outside Canada and United States at this time. Please ship back merchandise using your carrier of choice. Ensure you have a tracking number. Items that are never received in our Barrie, Ontario office will not be refunded.

Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Partial Refunds

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted such as, but not limited to, any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery.

When will my payment be refunded? 

Once your package has been received, your refund will be processed on the original form of payment within 7 to 10 business days. You will be notified, via email, at the email address listed on your invoice when the refund has taken place. Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and credit this transaction to your account once it has received the refund confirmation from Cavalinho.

Gifts (Exchange only)

If the item was marked as a gift at time of purchase, or you have a gift receipt, you will be eligible to exchange for an equal value product or greater value product (being the exceeding value paid by the customer) or get a store credit for unused, in original conditions and all tagged merchandise. We do not refund gift items.

Purchase Locations

Items purchased at our retail location (Official Cavalinho store)

Items purchased in one of our retail locations are subject to the return policies outlined on the store receipt. (Same as above)

Items purchased at an authorized retailer (Not a Cavalinho Store) 

You will have to contact them for their return/exchange policy, no returns will be accepted by Cavalinho directly. 

Can Cavalinho products purchased at an independent retailers be refunded through Cavalinho store or head office?

No. All products purchased through one of our independent retailers, must be returned to the store in which they were purchased. We cannot dictate or intervene in independent store exchange or return policies.

Can Cavalinho products purchased through cavalinho.ca be returned to an independent retailer or to a Cavalinho store? 

Yes, to the Cavalinho Canada Official Store in Barrie. No, to our independent retail partners.

Exchanges for purchases at official Cavalinho stores in Portugal

Exchanges for purchases made at official Cavalinho stores in Portugal can be accommodated at our Barrie store under the following conditions:

  • A valid purchase receipt from the original Cavalinho Portugal store is required — credit card statements are not accepted as proof of purchase.
  • Items must be in new, unused condition, with original packaging and all accompanying accessories.
  • Stock availability is not guaranteed. As an exclusive brand with limited quantities, certain items — especially limited edition or clearance products — may no longer be available.
  • Refunds are not available for purchases made in Portugal.
  • If exchanging for a different product or style, a price difference may apply.
  • Value Added Tax (VAT) paid in Portugal will not be considered in the exchange value.
  • Our in-store exchange rate will apply, not the customer's credit card’s rate.
  • Shipping costs for the exchange are not covered if you're unable to visit the Barrie store in person.
